- When writing papers, it is helpful to have the information neat and organized; therefore, teachers, college professors, and employers might often ask that you follow a specific "format" to organize your writing. In this class, and throughout high school, you will be asked to follow "MLA Format."

6. Memorandums (Memos)
- A memo is an informal written message sent from one person(s) to another person(s) within the same organization.
- Open and look over the Memo Template.
- Use the following handouts and practice typing and formatting the two memos (follow the format shown in the template.)
- Save and send each memo - there are two.

7. Business Letters
- Letters written, in the workplace, are more formal than memos and more formal than personal letters. This more formal method of communicating, in a business setting, is usually used to communicate with clients and other contacts outside of the organization.
- Open and look over the Letter Template.
- Pick up the necessary handouts and practice typing and formatting letters (follow the letter template.)
- Save each file, print and turn in each memo - there are two.
